President Donald J. Trump continues to push his $1.5 trillion infrastructure plan he spoke about during his State of the Union Address. Louisiana Congressman Ralph Abraham is working to ensure a good chunk of that money goes to rural communities. On Valentine's Day, Abraham introduced House Resolution 50-16, which he calls the "Revitalize Rural America Act," and it's pretty important. Louisiana farmers are already using longer routes to truck their grain or cane around failing bridges and bad roads in Louisiana, some of which are owned and maintained by local governments. Abraham says his bill would put money to fix those infrastructure problems directly into the hands of those impacted most.
